Breakfast Spots in The Harbor

If there’s one thing I love almost as much as real estate, it’s a great local breakfast spot. One of my favorite parts about living and working in Gig Harbor is the incredible small businesses that make this community feel so special. Whether I’m grabbing coffee between showings, meeting clients, or enjoying a slow weekend morning with family, these are the breakfast places I find myself coming back to again and again.

Here are my top three favorite breakfast spots in Gig Harbor — plus one Tacoma favorite worth the drive.

1. Devoted Kiss Cafe

Temporarily closed for renovations… but still at the top of the list and can't wait to go again once open!

If you know, you know. Devoted Kiss has always been one of those places that just feels like Gig Harbor. Cozy atmosphere, incredible coffee, fresh pastries, and breakfast dishes that somehow feel both comforting and elevated. It’s the kind of place where you can sit and catch up with a friend for hours or stop in quickly before starting your day.

While they’re currently closed for renovations, I already know it’s going to be worth the wait when they reopen. This spot has been such a staple in our community, and I can’t wait to see what’s next for them.

My go-to? Honestly, anything with one of their fresh baked pastries and a really good latte.

2. The Netshed No. 9

A true local classic.

The Netshed is one of those breakfast spots that people immediately recommend when you ask where to eat in Gig Harbor — and for good reason. It’s welcoming, consistently good, and full of charm. Whether you’re stopping by after a morning walk downtown or fueling up before a busy day, it always hits the spot.

Their menu has a little bit of everything, but the portions are generous and the atmosphere feels relaxed and local. It’s one of my favorite places to bring out-of-town friends and clients because it really gives that classic waterfront Gig Harbor feel.

Bonus points for being close to the harbor so you can grab breakfast and enjoy a walk afterward.

3. Hy lu Hee Hee

One of Gig Harbor’s hidden gems.

Hy lu Hee Hee has such a fun and welcoming atmosphere, and it’s one of those places that feels unique compared to your typical breakfast spot. Great flavors, friendly people, and a menu that keeps things interesting.

I love finding local spots that feel a little different while still being approachable and community-focused, and this one definitely fits that vibe. It’s a great reminder of why I love supporting local businesses in Gig Harbor.

Bonus Favorite in Tacoma

Le Sel Bistro

If you’re willing to venture into Tacoma for brunch, Le Sel Bistro is one of my absolute favorites.

It has such a beautiful atmosphere and feels like the perfect mix of cozy and elevated. The food is incredible, presentation is amazing, and it’s one of those places that feels perfect for a slower brunch date or special occasion breakfast. I love sitting out on the back deck overlooking the water with a latte. They leave blankets on the back of each chair to cosy up and enjoy breakfast to the fullest!

Tacoma’s food scene has grown so much over the years, and Le Sel Bistro is definitely one of the standout spots in my opinion.

One of my favorite things about being a local real estate agent is getting to share the places that truly make this area feel like home. Gig Harbor has so many amazing local restaurants, coffee shops, and small businesses, and these breakfast spots are just a few of the places that make our community special.
